Margate is the place to be and bee seen this weekend as the Margate Business Association presents its annual Beachstock: The Planet's Biggest Beach Party. The free event will be held Saturday, June 30 on the beach between between Granville and Huntinton avenues, and behind the Margate Public Library. The fun starts at 8 a.m. and lasts until 10 p.m. with a myriad of events, food and music for adults and children. The theme this year is A Day of Tide, Tunes and Togetherness.

No beach tags are required and a fee shuttle service will be available 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. along Atlantic Avenue between Coolidge and Fredericksburg avenues, and to and from the free parking area behind the Eugene A. Tighe Middle School, 7804 Amherst Ave.

The event boasts music all day long with singer-songwriter Matt Santry and DJ Jason E, capped off with a performance by The British Invasion Experience at 8 p.m. on the main stage.

Children and adults can learn to limbo and hula with professional dancers from the South Pacific Island Dancers. There will be a wide variety of food choices, beer and Margarita gardens, competitions, lessons, information booths and even skin cancer checks by Dr. Eugene Carriocci.

Beachstock is produced by the Margate Business Association in partnership with Margate City, 100.7 WZXL and Buck London Productions.
