READ AND PLAY BABY
For little ones between the ages of 12-36 months, story time activity 10:30 a.m. Thursday mornings, Nov.1 through Dec. 20 (except Nov. 22). Come enjoy stories, songs, stretches, rhymes, puppets, felt boards, finger plays and more with your child, all designed to develop early literacy skills.
CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB
Open chess program for all ages noon-4:30 p.m. every Saturday, Nov. 3 through Dec. 29. Exercise your mind and a friendly game of chess.
HISTORY EXPLORERS
A series of monthly history-based events 10-11:30 a.m. Saturdays, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8 for kids and teens ages 10-14. Journey back in time to visit fun destinations through books, costumes, and themed activities. In November, the group will explore The Real First Thanksgiving, and focus on the Titanic in December.
GATHERING WOOL
Adult quilting and knitting group meets 10 a.m. to noon meets every Tuesday, Nov. 13 through Dec.18.The program is free and all levels of experience are welcome. Join the group to stitch, loop, craft and chat. Knit, crochet, create original handcrafted blankets, scarves, sweaters and more.
VETERANS DAY LUNCH AND TALK
A special event for adults who served in the armed forces noon, Tuesday, Nov. 13. Each registrant may bring one family member in honor of Veterans Day. Registration is required. Veterans will be invited to speak about their experiences. Sandwiches and refreshments will be provided. Please advise staff of any food allergies.
THANKSGIVING FLOWER ARRANGING
A crafting class for adults and teens to celebrate Thanksgiving 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20. Call to register in advance. There is a $15 materials fee payable the night of the program, which is presented by Rain Florist, Inc. of Ventnor. Come out and create a Thanksgiving centerpiece for your table. Bring scissors and a candle of your choice.
INTO THE EVENING BOOK CLUB
Monthly book club for adults 6:15 Thursday, Nov. 29. Join in the discussion of great books in good company. November's selection is "Christmas Bells" by Jennifer Chiaverini.
