Beginning Sunday, Sept. 16 through Thursday, Sept. 20 and again on Sunday, Sept. 23 through Thursday, Sept. 27, the Margate Bridge and causeway will be closed to traffic during the evening and overnight hours, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, weather permitting, for repair and maintenance work by Ole Hansen and Sons.
Motorists should seek alternate routes during the overnight construction periods. Full bridge access will be available each day between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. There will be no interruption to boat traffic in the channel during construction.
