Pancake breakfast benefits Sheriff's Hope One project

  • Atlantic County

The Hope One mobile van travels the county offering hope for those suffering from the disease of addiction.

LINWOOD A pancake breakfast being held 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church Hall, 724 Maple Ave., will benefit Atlantic County Sheriff Eric Scheffler's Hope One AC project, which connects those seeking recovery with treatment options.

The event is being sponsored by Megan Herbein to honor the memory of her father Rich Herbein who died four years ago of an overdose at age 48 when she was just 12 years old.

Scheffler is asking everyone to come out and support an amazing young lady and her effort to raise funds to help those suffering with addiction.

Megan lost her father Rich four years ago and is making sure his memory lives on by helping others, Scheffler said in a release.

The event features pancakes with all the fixings and raffle baskets. Tickets are $13 for adult, $8 for children at the door.

All proceeds will be donated to the Atlantic County Sheriff's Foundation, LLC, which funds the Hope One mobile van that travels around Atlantic County to deliver lifesaving information and provide those seeking recovery with options for treatment.
