MARGATE The Holtzman Gallery will be showcasing Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future during a Black History Month exhibition Feb. 4 to March 3 at the Milton and Betty Katz JCC, 501 N. Jerome Ave.

The exhibition features Al Johnson, Danny Simmons, Bariq Cobb, Gabriel Tiberino Raphael Timerino and Don Stephens of Philadelphia, and Kelly Prevard and John Morris of Atlantic City.

It not only pays respect to Black History but also celebrates the creative innovations of the past, present and the future, said gallery owner David Holtzman.

The exhibition aims to continue motivating the next generation of creative artistic innovators.

When it comes to creativity at any age, ethnic background, religion, financial class, skin color, political belief, and where you have come from to where you are going, there simply are no boundaries, walls, neighborhoods, cities, states or countries, Holtzman said. We are all created equally, in harmony as one creative world.

A special Meet and Greet art reception will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7 with special remarks by religious leaders and local dignitaries and live music by the Eddie Morgan Trio. Complimentary wine and light fare will be available. The event is free and open to the public. All fine art is available for purchase.
