The Atlantic County Division of Intergenerational Services is currently seeking nominations for its 31st annual Donald J. Sykes Award.
The award honors outstanding Atlantic County residents of all ages who are living with a disability, have attained significant personal achievement and have made a difference in the lives of others.
Nominees will be recognized in October during Disability Awareness Month.
The award is named in memory of Donald J. Sykes, a longtime community advocate and former chairman who suffered from a rare auto-immune disease called dermato-myositis.
Nomination letters must include a description of the nominee's personal qualities, accomplishments and contributions. Include contact information for the person making the nomination and the nominee. Nominations letters just be submitted by the deadline on Aug. 31. Letters should be mailed to Cristine Chickadel, Atlantic County Division of Intergenerational Services, 101 S.
