CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB
Open chess program for all ages noon to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays, June 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. All are welcome to play a friendly game of chess along with others.
GATHERING WOOL
Adult quilting and knitting group meets 10 a.m. to noon every Tuesday, June 4, 11, 18 and 25.The program is free and all levels of experience are welcome. Join the group to stitch, loop, craft and chat. Learn to knit, crochet, create original handcrafted blankets, scarves, sweaters and more.
SPACE STUFF
Fun Space Stuff' workshop 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 for ages 8-13. Registration is requested. Learn about space and science by exploring gravity. Use your best engineering skills to become an eggs- tronaut.
SEASHELL STEPPING STONES CRAFT
Stepping-stone crafting program for adults 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 12. Registration is required. Use shells, glass, and plaster to create a unique stepping stone for your garden. Bring an apron or wear old clothes.
READ & PLAY BABY
Little ones between the ages of 12-36 months are invited to enjoy storytime activity 10:30 a.m. Thursday mornings, June 13, 20 and 27. Enjoy stories, songs, stretches, rhymes, puppets, felt boards, fingerplays and more with your child, all designed to develop early literacy skills. Ask how to join the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program.
FATHER'S DAY MARBLE-RUN RACE
The library will hold a marble-run race for ages 5 and older 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15 in honor of Father's Day. Registration is requested. Fathers, grandfathers and caretakers are welcome to spend time with their children creating and racing marble runs. The branch will supply the marbles, you supply the fun.
INTO THE EVENING BOOK CLUB
Monthly book club for adults 6:15 p.m. Thursday, June 20. Join in the discussion of great books in good company.This month's chosen selection is "Beneath a Scarlet Sky
" by Mark T. Sullivan.
KID'S CONCERT
The library will hold a family-friendly kid's concert 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29 for ages 6-10. Meet acclaimed singer/songwriter/guitarist Jeffrey Folmer, who has performed for audiences large and small, local and abroad.
