ATLANTIC CITY New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney will hold a town hall meeting to discuss the Path to Progress report, 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 at the Fannie Lou Hamer Event Room at Stockton University's Atlantic City campus.
The event will be moderated by Stockton alumna and Montclair State University law Professor Brigid Callahan Harrison and John Froonjian of the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy at Stockton.
The report, which was formulated last year by the Economic and Fiscal Policy Workgroup, a panel of fiscal and economic experts, covers pension and benefit reform, county and municipal government reform and shared services, and local government tax structure.
The event is one of several meetings being held around the state to engage the public in meaningful discussions about the state's future, according to the Path to Progress website. It is free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the parking lot at the corner of Pacific and Hartford avenues.
