GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - Golfers and non-golfers alike are invited to participate in the Seashore Gardens Foundation Golf Tournament being held Monday, May 20 at Ron Jaworski's Blue Heron Pines Golf Club, 550 Country Club Drive , off Tilton Road.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Seashore Gardens Foundation, a nonprofit organization created to provide aid and support for the health care programs and supportive services provided at Seashore Gardens Living Center, including Alzheimer's outreach services, according to tournament Chairmen David Lieberman and Jason Goldstein.
The Simon and Sylvia Zisman Seashore Gardens Living Center houses the aged, guided by Jewish tradition, law, and charity, and is dedicated to enriching the quality of life for its residents. The 125,000 square foot senior living center features a family of services which include assisted living, patient-centered short- and long-term nursing care, Alzheimer's care, respite care and full rehabilitation services all under one roof.
Registration and lunch begin at 11:30 a.m. Tee time for golfers is 1 p.m. Non-golfers are invited to enjoy Painting on the Patio from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. There also will be a Novice Golf Academy at 4 p.m. The dinner and awards ceremony are at 6 p.m.
Prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin and the longest drive, among others. There will be four hole-in-one opportunities, where golfers can win a Mercedes Benz from Mercedes Benz of Fort Washington, a trip to the Super Bowl, a trip to the World Series, golf for two at Pebble Beach and tickets to The Masters tournament.
Cost is $175 per golfer and includes a boxed lunch and a barbecue dinner. Cost is $100 for Painting on the Patio and dinner, and $100 for the Novice Golf Academy and dinner. Dinner only is $75.
