MOUNT HOLLY - The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory from 2 a.m. until 8 a.m. Monday, May 13. Coastal areas of Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland counties will be affected.

High tide on the New Jersey oceanfront occurs between 2:45 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. Monday. High tide on the back bays occurs an hour later.

Minor flooding is anticipated at tonight`s high tide. Up to 1 foot of saltwater inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways, according to the NWS Mt. Holly. Localized roadway flooding is expected. Police may close some roads due to high water.

Wave heights on the ocean are forecast to be 6-10 feet.

A Coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some road closures. Usually, the most vulnerable roadways will flood.

Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal flooding.

Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly repairs.
