MARGATE Tuesday, May 14 is Election Day in Margate. Four candidates are vying for three, four-year terms on the non-partisan Board of Commissioners.
Incumbents Michael Becker, Maury Blumberg and John Amodeo are running as a team on the Preserving Margate's Quality of Life slate. Newcomer Calvin Tesler is challenging them with his Education, Experience and Passion for Margate tagline.
Becker and Blumberg are seeking their fourth terms in office, while Amodeo, a former New Jersey assemblyman, is seeking his second term on the board.
The polls will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations:
District 1, Eugene A. Tighe School, 7804 Amherst Ave.
District 2, William H. Ross School, 101 N. Haverford Ave.
District 3 and 4, Margate Municipal Building, 9001 Winchester Ave.
