Daily Update: 35 new positive COVID-19 cases in Atlantic County, 66 recovered

Atlantic County public health officials have confirmed 35 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, Wednesday, April 15, among 12 males, ages 34-79 and 23 females, ages 24-96. There are no new deaths.

These new cases bring the countywide totals to 327 positives and 13 deaths with 66 having been cleared as recovered.

Eleven of today's cases were found in Egg Harbor Township, seven were found in Galloway Township, four in Absecon and three in Pleasantville. Atlantic City, Hamilton Township, Hammonton and Linwood each had two cases and Brigantine and Somers Point each had one new positive.

Atlantic County held its first COVID-19 drive-thru testing for the general public on Tuesday, March 14, and will do so again on Thursday for symptomatic, Atlantic County residents with a doctor's prescription and appointment.

Additional test dates were announced late yesterday for Tuesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 23, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., behind the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing.

Those who are unable to keep their appointment are asked to cancel so someone else can fill their spot.
