While Atlantic County health officials are reporting 26 more residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, there are no new deaths for the 10th consecutive day, the longest stretch of time without a COVID-19 fatality since April 2, the date of the first reported death in the county.
The countywide total of deaths related to COVID-19 remains 241, with the last deaths reported on Aug. 2.
Today's new positives were identified in 15 males, ages 7-82, and 11 females, ages 16-76, with locations as follows: seven in Atlantic City, six in Hamilton Township, four in Egg Harbor Township, three in Pleasantville, two in Galloway Township, and one each in Brigantine, Hammonton, Linwood and Ventnor.
These additions bring the cumulative total of confirmed cases to 3,700 with 2,141 residents having been cleared as recovered.

The test site is available for both symptomatic and asymptomatic county residents with or without a doctor's prescription. Residents must make an appointment for testing and provide proof of county residency and appointment confirmation.
Appointments can be made online at www.aclink.org. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel no less than 24 hours in advance so others may have an opportunity to fill those spots.

At this time, labs throughout the state are experiencing delays in reporting results due to the high volume of testing.
Health officials remind residents to continue to remain vigilant to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. This includes wearing face coverings, maintaining social distancing and avoiding crowds, washing hands frequently and sanitizing common-touch areas, and answering the call if contacted by contact tracers.
