Atlantic County exceeded the 10,000 COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. In each of the last three days, the county has reported more than 200 cases, bringing the total number of COVID-19 positives to 10,369, with a total of 300 people succumbing to the disease.
On Friday, Dec. 4, the county reported 219 positives with three deaths. On both Saturday and Sunday, the county reported 200 new COVID-19 cases, with one death reported on Sunday in an 89-year-old Egg Harbor Township woman with pre-existing conditions.
There is a total of 4,828 people reported as recovered. The number of recovered individuals indicates they have been confirmed to be clear of symptoms after a designated isolation period. Many others do not respond to follow-up contact and therefore their recovery status cannot be confirmed, a county spokesperson said.
