VENTNOR - The Atlantic County Library System/ Ventnor, 6500 Atlantic Ave. announced its programs for the remainder of January.
LOCAL AUTHOR/ILLUSTRATOR EXHIBIT
Local author/illustrator exhibit from through Feb. 1 during regular branch hours. All ages are welcome to see the work of local artist/illustrator Stephanie Segal Miller on display. Each watercolor will feature a different alphabet-themed animal from her book, "U is for Urial." Plan to attend her upcoming book talk at the Ventnor branch 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12.
GATHERING WOOL
Adults are invited to join a quilting and kniting group that meets 10 a.m. to noon every Tuesday, through March 31.The program is free and all levels of experience are welcome. Join the group to stitch, loop, craft and chat.
LEGO CLUB
The next Lego Club for ages 5 and older will be held 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21. Gather with other Lego lovers to build something and share with other young engineers.We supply the Lego bricks, you supply the imagination and fun! The club will feature a different building theme each week. All materials provided.
READ & PLAY BABY
Weekly storytime for little ones between the ages of 12-36 months 10:30 a.m. Thursday mornings through March 26. Enjoy stories, songs, stretches, rhymes, puppets, felt boards, fingerplays and more with your child, all designed to develop early literacy skills. Ask how to join the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program while you're here. The storytime includes sensory elements that are helpful to children with special needs.
HISTORY EXPLORERS
Enjoy a history-based event 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 for kids ages 7-12. Journey back in time to visit fun destinations through books, costumes, and themed activities.This month's focus will be Cave People, make- your-own cave art.
CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB
Open chess program for all ages noon to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 11, 18 and 25. All are welcome to enjoy the challenge of playing a friendly game of chess along with others.
SING ALONG WITH BARRY
Adult sing-along 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan.11. Enjoy an afternoon of singing and reminiscing with local musician Barry Jaffe.
KROCHET KLUB FOR TEENS
Krochet Klub for teens 4 p.m Tuesdays, Jan. 14 and 28 for ages 12-18. Get hooked on crochet with fun projects. Our first craft will be a bookmark.
CREATE YOUR OWN EYEGLASS CASE
Adults and interested teens are invited to craft their own personalized eyeglass case 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22 Registration and a $2 supply fee are required for this event.
INTO THE EVENING BOOK CLUB
Monthly book club for adults 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23. Join in the discussion of great books in good company.This month's chosen selection is "A Gentleman in Moscow" by Amor Towles.
AN AFTERNOON OF GUITAR WITH FRANK TUCCI
A special musical event for adults 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25. If you like guitar music, please stop by for an afternoon con- cert with local guitarist and instructor Frank Tucci. The free program will feature music from the American songbook.

Adults are invited to attend a monthly gathering 3 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan.29, Feb. 26 and March 25. Recent studies suggest that social networking is vital to a lifetime of health and well-being. RESUME BUILDING WORKSHOP
Free resume-building assistance for adults 11 a.m. Fridays, Jan. 31, Feb. 28 and March 27. Registration required and begins two weeks before each session. Space is limited. Participants must be experienced using the mouse and keyboard. Learn how to create and format ready-for-work resumes.
