Margate woman charged with drug offenses, endangering child

ATLANTIC CITY - A Margate woman was arrested in Atlantic City Saturday, July 23 after being found unconscious with drugs and her baby in a vehicle.

At 3:38 p.m., Det. Ryan Kov and Officer Charlene Ruark responded to the area of Arizona and Fairmount avenues for a report of an unconscious woman in the driver seat of a vehicle with an infant in the backseat.

Kov along with medical personnel arrived to find Jessica Muller, 41, of Margate, unconscious. The 911 caller had removed the child from the vehicle. Once awake, Muller showed signs of being under the influence of narcotics. Cocaine and Xanax was located in the center console along with paraphernalia used to ingest narcotics.

Muller and her child were both transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division for evaluation.

Muller was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

She was released on a summons with a future court date.
