Mainland Regional High School, CharterTech and other Atlantic County schools are closing for the next two weeks.
The Mainland, Linwood, Northfield and Somers Point school districts, and CharterTech issued a joint statement Saturday, March 14 stating the schools would close for 14 days for the protection of students, families and staff.
The districts will continue to monitor information to determine if a longer closure is warranted.

Ocean City Superintendent Kathleen Taylor's letter to parents indicated the district is ready to respond upon a written directive from the NJ Department of Health or the Cape May County Health Department. A remote learning plan has been submitted to the County Education Department. Parents are being asked to take a technology survey. The link is in the letter.
Margate Superintendent Thomas Baruffi said the district is preparing for a likely closure and creating a platform for remote learning.
Knowing all households may not have wireless internet, he provided parents with a list of links to internet providers offering discounted rates.
Ventnor Superintendent Eileen Johnson said the district received "a plethora of guidance" from the county office and other information would be forthcoming.
