MARGATE - According to the Margate Police Department's Facebook page, the police are not processing firearms permits at this time.
"Due to the state's response to the COVID-19 pandemic all applications for Firearms Cards or Purchase Permits have been put on hold due to reassignment of personnel at various government levels. Please do not contact MCPD regarding your applications, as we are unable to move ANY of them forward at this time."
Once staffing returns to normal, the department will resume processing applications as quickly as possible.
