The Atlantic County Board of Health has announced the death of a 96-year-old Northfield woman afflicted with COVID-19. She was the first COVID-19 fatality since Oct. 16 and the 259th person to die from the disease in Atlantic County.
The department also announced 33 new COVID-19 cases among 14 males, ages 20-93, and 19 females, ages 14-62.
To date, there have been 5,730 COVID-19 cases, with 3,164 reported as recovered.
The location of today's cases are as follows: 11 in Egg Harbor Township, four each in Galloway Township and Pleasantville, three each in Hamilton Township, two each in Absecon, Hammonton, Linwood and Margate, and one each in Atlantic City, Brigantine and Ventnor.

Atlantic County continues to provide COVID-19 testing by appointment for county residents behind the county's Public Works yard at 617 Dolphin Ave. in Northfield. Testing will be held 9-11:30 a.m. each Tuesday through Nov. 24, with the exception of Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, when testing will instead be held on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
