GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - The status of adult use cannabis in New Jersey will be the topic of the free Stockton University Cannabis & Hemp Research Initiative Quarterly Education Panel being held 12-1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 via Zoom.

The New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission is expected in late August to issue rules and regulations that will govern the adult use cannabis market, Mejia said. Part of the mission of the Stockton Cannabis & Hemp Initiative is to provide cannabis education to the community. Topics to be covered include explaining the new state rules, business opportunities, clarifying the regulations surrounding the acquisition of micro-licenses and explaining who is considered a social equity applicant and why this is important.
