MARGATE - Due to a delay in setting the tax rate, Margate has announced the deadline to pay third quarter taxes normally due on Aug. 1 has been extended until Sept. 24 with no additional grace period.

Final 2021 and preliminary 2022 tax bills will be sent out the week of Aug. 23, the city announced Friday morning.

Individual tax amounts due are available at Margate's WIPP website. Property owners are welcome to pay their third quarter taxes without receiving a bill at the drop box located on the right side of the entrance to the Margate Municipal Building, 9001 Winchester Ave. (Union Avenue) or mail a check or money order. Do not put cash in the box.

The quarterly tax bill that will be due on Nov. 1 will include the normal 10-day grace period with no additional extensions.
