VENTNOR - The city will offer a free Open Pier Night 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18.
Fishing will be allowed without a fee. The pier will be open during this time so visitors can take a stroll, enjoy the sunset or learn from the pier attendant about fishing.
No one will be allowed past the second gate.
