VENTNOR - The Ventnor City Fire Department Station No. 2 on Wellington Avenue was awarded second place in ATAS International, Inc.'s 2020 Project of the Year Award for its commercial roof design.

The award recognizes projects in which ATAS products have been incorporated into the design and construction of the building. Six project categories are included in the competition: commercial roofs, commercial walls, residential roofs, residential walls, accents, and interiors. First, second, and third place winners in each category were chosen by an independent panel of judges, comprised of ATAS advisory board members.

The firehouse was designed by architect William McLees and constructed by Boardwalk Construction, LLC. ABC Supply Co., Inc. provided the tiles for the roof construction.

Techo Tile" is a metal roof panel with a deep configuration in the form of an S or Spanish tile. The panel is installed vertically up the slope of the roof, with exposed fasteners and on a solid substrate. Techo Tile" has the look of a clay tile roof without the problems associated with its care.

We are pleased to recognize all the architects, contractors, and distributors who were involved in the 2020 award-winning projects, ATAS Vice President of Sales and Marketing Jim Bush said. It's great to see the creative designs and quality craftsmanship incorporated into these buildings. The use of metal continues to grow, and not only on the building enclosures; we are seeing increased use of metal for interiors as well.
