Margate woman to present at Widener Law School career panel

  • ATLANTIC CITY - Margate resident Jennifer B. Barr of Cooper Levenson Law Firm in Atlantic City will be a featured presenter at a career panel for an ongoing series presented by the Career Development Office of Widener University Law School in Delaware and the Student Bar Association. The talk is being held 5:15-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 9.


Barr will offer her perspective on hiring trends and strategies in the legal field, including how to distinguish oneself to potential employers. She will share how Cooper Levenson evaluates potential candidates for employment and internships.

An attorney in Cooper Levenson's Appeals practice group, Barr brings more than 20 years of experience in civil and criminal appeals. She has previously worked in the areas of appeals and post-conviction relief, including criminal appeals for the Office of the Public Defender, and quasi-criminal appeals for the Office of Parental Representation. In addition, she has represented small businesses in transactional matters, and clients in personal injury litigation and appeals.

Barr was an adjunct professor at Stockton University where she taught argument and persuasion in the social sciences. She graduated from Rutgers Law School Newark and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
