Atlantic County Health Department Saturday, Jan. 16 reported six new deaths, including a Ventnor City man, and 287 new COVID-19 positives.
The six deaths include two Absecon men, a 79-year-old from a long-term care facility and a 90-year-old; two Atlantic City men, a 62-year-old and an 83-year-old; a 62-year-old Galloway woman; and a 95-year-old Ventnor man. All had pre-existing conditions.
Positives were reported in 129 males, ages 2-95, and 158 females, ages 3 months to 96, bringing the total number of positives since the start of the pandemic to 17,158, which is 6.5% of the population of Atlantic County.
Locally, Longport has reported 40 cases with one death, Margate 309 cases with four deaths, and Ventnor 506 cases with 10 deaths.

Weekly COVID-19 drive-through testing is available 9-11:30 a.m. each Tuesday by appointment at the county's Public Works yard at 617 Dolphin Ave., Northfield until further notice. Appointments can be made by calling 1-888-285-2684 or online at https://booknow-atlco.appointment-plus.com/b8nr4gd8/.
