LONGPORT Although she is no longer working as the borough's municipal court administrator, the Board of Commissioners Wednesday, June 2 presented a proclamation honoring Longport resident Andrea M. Brady, who has worked for the borough since 1998.

The borough recently combined its court with neighboring Margate, which is providing the services of its municipal court administrator. Court sessions are being held at Margate's Historic City Hall.

Longport Mayor Nicholas Russo said Brady served "with honor and distinction" during her 23-year tenure and has earned the respect and admiration of those she worked with over the years.

In addition to being a member of many professional organizations, Brady is treasurer of the American Legion Post 469 Auxiliary Unit.

Brady is still employed at the borough and is now working as the administrator of the Building Department.

Russo declared June 2, Andrea M. Brady Day in Longport.

Christopher Ricciotti and Quinton Wright of the Longport PBA present former Municipal Court Administrator Andrea M. Brady with a token of their appreciation.

In addition, Brady was honored by the Longport Police Benevolent Association Local 363 and at the request of NJ State PBA Executive Board Member Christopher Ricciotti was granted honorary membership in the NJ State PBA.

"Andrea was always there to answer any questions we had," local PBA President Quinton Wright.

In gratitude for the recognition, Brady responded that she "could not pick a better place to be."

"Glad I'm still here," she said.
