MARGATE Residents of Margate have two new firefighters offering protection on the Margate City Fire Department. They replaced two firefighters who retired.

These two young men are filling the voids in our department, Amodeo said. They will have the greatest job working for Margate if they do all the right things.

Moore is a former Pennsylvania resident whose family had a home in Margate for many years. He moved to the city after high school and attended Stockton University. Newell, a former member of the Margate City Beach Patrol, is a longtime resident of Margate.

According to Fire Chief Dan Adams, who recently celebrated his 30th year in firefighting, both attended an academy program offered by the Margate, Ventnor City, and Brigantine fire departments. They went from station to station to learn how do the job and finished up their live fire training at the Atlantic County Fire Academy on English Creek Road in Egg Harbor Township.

We look forward to good things from Brady and Cole, Adams said. They have honed their skills to do a professional job.
