Shirat Hayam to offer in-person services for vaccinated members

Shirat Hayam, Ventnor.

VENTNOR - Shirat Hayam will be returning to in-person services starting with Shabbat on March 12-13.

According to an announcement from Shirat Hayam President Jodi Handler, the congregations' COVID-10 Safety Manager Alan Friedman has determined it is safe to reopen the synagogue for Friday night and Saturday morning Shabbat services to adults who have completed your second COVID-19 vaccination and are now at least two weeks post vaccination. Those members receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine must also wait two weeks before attending in-person services.

Masks will be required and social distancing will continue to be enforced.

Unvaccinated elementary and middle school children are also welcome to attend. However, because the incidence of COVID-19 is higher in the 14-25 age group, it would not be prudent to allow those individuals to attend in-person services at this time.

For those who cannot attend in-person, Friday night and Shabbat morning services will continue to be accessible via the Zoom online meeting platform.

Weekday services, both morning and evening, will continue to be offered only on Zoom until further notice.

Thank you for your understanding and support during these challenging times.

We wish you good health and look forward to celebrating the time when we can safely be together again.
