The Stockton Promise

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - Stockton University has launched a new program for fall 2021 that will guarantee 100% of the cost of tuition and fees for eligible first-year and transfer students.

The new Stockton Promise grants will cover the balance of the cost of tuition and fees after all federal, state and other institutional grants are applied, bringing tuition and fees to zero for eligible students.

The program is open to all first-year undergraduate and transfer students who enroll as fulltime students. Participants must be New Jersey residents and have an adjusted gross income of $65,000 or less. The grants are renewable for up to four years.

Students interested in the program must complete the FAFSA federal financial aid application or the New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application. All eligible applicants will automatically be placed in the program.

Stockton will also continue to provide merit scholarships and other financial aid to all qualified students, including those who are not eligible for the Stockton Promise program.

Stockton University President Harvey Kesselman said the Stockton Promise program recognizes the challenges families are facing.

The Stockton Promise represents our commitment to eligible students and their families so that financial circumstances will not be a barrier to attending college, Kesselman said. This program will help students achieve their educational goals and reduce potential loan indebtedness.

In addition, Stockton is test optional. Applicants are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores to be considered for admission or merit scholarships.
