Cookie Till of Steve & Cookies By The Bay restaurant in Margate, participates in the Restaurant Gala annually.
MAYS LANDING Atlantic Cape Community College's signature fundraising event is getting a COVID-friendly makeover this year. The 38th annual Atlantic Cape Restaurant Gala is going alfresco and will be held on the outdoor grounds adjacent to the Harrah's Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 23. The rain date is Thursday, June 24.
While the venue and theme may be a little different this year, attendees can still expect to sample a wide variety of signature dishes, desserts, and drinks from the area's most popular establishments. The Dirty Dozen Dance Band will provide live entertainment for the evening.
Atlantic Cape canceled last year's event because of the pandemic, but the college was still able to raise $150,000 thanks to the support of the generous community and corporate sponsors. Since its inception, the Atlantic Cape Restaurant Gala has raised more than $3.5 million dollars for scholarships for students attending the Academy of Culinary Arts. Proceeds from this event will continue to go towards ACA scholarships and will also benefit the college's student emergency fund and Foundation Operations.
Sophia of Margate is also an annual particpant.
General admission tickets to the event cost $150 each (no assigned seating). Groups of 10 can purchase a reserved table in the general admission area for $2,000. A 50/50 cash raffle will be held and tickets are available for purchase before and during the event.
Sponsorship opportunities with VIP access and reserved tables in the VIP section are also available.
