EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - After the success of its initial recruitment and training of 13 local residents to serve as flight attendants, Global Crossing Airlines (GlobalX) is seeking 15-20 additional trainees to join its team.

Atlantic City International Airport will serve as the northern U.S. base of operations for GlobalX, a Miami-based charter airline that will be flying Airbus A320/321 aircraft for casinos, cruise lines, major hotel and resort destinations and incentive groups.

Prospective flight attendants must be at least 21 years of age, have two years of customer service experience, have a valid passport with permission to travel both domestically and internationally, and be eligible to work within the U.S. without sponsorship. They must also have proof of COVID-19 vaccination and no flight restrictions.

Successful candidates will earn a competitive wage with full benefits provided by GlobalX at no expense to the employee. They must complete a four-week training program to be held 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The last week of training will be held in Miami. GlobalX will cover the costs of travel and lodging.

With Atlantic County being known for its hospitality and tourism industries, GlobalX is confident it will continue to find quality applicants with valuable customer service experience in this area.

Interested applicants may call the Atlantic County Office of Workforce Development to receive more information at 609-485-0052, ext. 4846. Job Development staff will provide job screenings in coordination with GlobalX.

Training is expected to begin in November so those interested are encouraged to call by Oct. 8.
