The Jewish Federation has awarded a $5,100 grant to Seashore Gardens Living Center to enrich elder lives. The funds represent the fourth-year incentive grant from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation Life and Legacy program.

The Jewish Federation is so proud of Seashore Gardens Living Center and all of our other organizations working on Life & Legacy after-lifetime giving, Roberta S. Clark, executive director of Jewish Federation of Atlantic & Cape May Counties, said in a release. These efforts will ensure a strong Jewish community for years to come.

The funds will be used to purchase essential equipment, including a Rosie® vital sign monitor, and for a therapy intergenerational garden for residents, families and staff.

Encore Rehabilitation also provided Seashore Gardens with a $1,000 contribution for the therapy intergenerational garden, which will feature raised beds at wheelchair height, bridges with rails, and an accessible playground to enable occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy to be conducted outdoors.

The garden is part of the living center's new pollinator and monarch butterfly habitat.
