GALLOWAY TOWNSHIOP - The Atlantic County Division of Public Health has obtained the services of a new vendor so it may continue providing free COVID-19 testing in cooperation with Stockton University at 421 Chris Gaupp Drive. The site will be available 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily as of Feb. 7 for state residents ages 2 and older.
The Galloway Township site was originally set-up in mid-January for a three-week period to help meet the high demand for COVID-19 testing at the time, Acting Atlantic County Public Health Director Kara Janson said in a release. The contract with that vendor, eTrue North, ended on Sunday, but the county was able to quickly obtain the services of Praxis that is providing other test sites throughout the country.

Walk-ins will also be accepted. Driver's license identification is requested and insurance is optional. Test results will be available within 24-48 hours. Customers may choose how to receive their results, by phone, email or online access. Medical personnel will also be available on site or online to answer any questions and provide proper guidance for isolating, quarantining or seeking further medical care.
The free COVID-19 test site at The Carnegie Center in Atlantic City, which is also operated by the county and Stockton, has adjusted its hours. It is now open noon to 5 p.m. Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays for PCR saliva testing for state residents ages 4 and older. Pre-registration is not required but strongly suggested and can be accessed at covid.vlt.co.
Testing is still necessary for many of our residents for work, travel and medical procedures, so we will continue to work with our state and local community partners to make it readily available, Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson said.
