When the suspect arrived at the Pacific Avenue location and grabbed the package from the front steps, he was apprehended by the officers and their supervisor, Sgt. Jamie Silva.

The suspect, later identified as Angel Herasme-Medina, 36, of Atlantic City, was taken into custody and charged with theft, receiving stolen property, and trespassing. Additional charges are pending further investigation.

In compliance with New Jersey bail reform, Herasme-Medina was released on a summons to appear in court.
