EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - The Arc of Atlantic County will hold a Pep Rally and Send Off to celebrate athletes from Special Olympics NJ Area 8, who have qualified to compete in the 2022 Summer Games of the Special Olympics NJ, June 10-12.

All members of the community are invited to join athletes, coaches, staff, families and supporters of The Arc of Atlantic County to cheer on this year's competitors as buses leave at 11:15 a.m. to transport the athletes to the games being held at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, where 35 athletes will compete in track and field and bocce competitions.

The athletes, their coaches and families have been training for the past few months to prepare for these competitive games, The Arc CEO Scott Hennis, CEO said. We are delighted to host this pep rally again for our athletes, after a two-year hiatus, and send them off to experience the excitement of competition, camaraderie, and working to achieve their goals.

Community partners from AtlantiCare, Holy Redeemer and other businesses in the Airport Commerce Center will be present for this uplifting event for the first time in two years. Flags, banners, posters, pom-poms, cow bells and enthusiastic spirits are encouraged, but please, no air horns that can upset athletes.
