ATLANTIC CITY Stockton University in cooperation with Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation is holding auditions for children, ages 8-18, to perform in The Children's Choir of Southern New Jersey, which is part of the foundation's Youth Jazz Institute.
Auditions will be held 8-9 p.m. Thursday, June 16 and 1-5 p.m. Saturday, June 18 at the Fannie Lou Hamer Event Room at Stockton's Atlantic City campus. The event room is located in the John F. Scarpa Academic Center.
The Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation Youth Jazz Institute is dedicated to preserving and teaching the art of jazz to youth in Atlantic City and the surrounding area. America's true art form, jazz is a product of African American culture and has a rich tradition in the city.
