Also, for the first time in Atlantic City, the organization's Miss New Jersey's Outstanding Teen will be held on Friday evening.
The competition is celebrating 100 years of Miss America with it's vision of promoting professional careers for women who are smart, passionate and principled.
Never guided in what society deems she should do' but forever driven by what she can do,' a press release states.
According to Miss New Jersey Education Foundation Executive Director David Holtzman, Miss New Jersey has the confidence and skills, and is empowered to make it happen. There she is, Miss New Jersey. No wonder she has a crown. She rules.
The winner will go on to represent New Jersey in the Miss America national competition, which was founded to invest in careers and lives of women, he said.
