VENTNOR The city's National Night Out will be back this summer to promote public safety and community partnerships. The city's Public Safety Department, Ventnor Special Event and the City of Ventnor will host the event starting at 5 p.m. on the first Tuesday of August behind the library on S. Newport Avenue.
Residents are encouraged to turn off the TV, unplug devices, leave troubles behind, and enjoy a fun-filled evening with their family, friends and neighbors.
The event, which is celebrated in communities across the country, is designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit, build partnerships with public safety officials, and help children feel safe all year long.
Activities are free and include face painting, interactive children's games, inflatables, water slide, public safety vehicle displays, DJ, hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks. A concert featuring The Exceptions will be held 7-10 p.m.
