LONGPORT The borough's green team, Sustainable Longport, is continuing its spring environmental series on June 3 at Longport Borough Hall when it presents a talk on Creating a Certified Wildlife Habitat.

The program, which is being presented by NJ Audubon, will be held at 2 p.m. in Commission Chambers at Borough Hall 2305 Atlantic Ave.

NJ Audubon Habitat Outreach Coordinator Kristin Hock, a wildlife biologist, educator and organic vegetable farmer, will explain how home gardeners can get their outdoor space recognized as a Certified Wildlife Habitat by offering food, water, cover and a place for wildlife to raise their young.

During the presentation, Hock will stress the importance of planting native species to attract pollinators and songbirds, and how to be responsible stewards of the land.

A question and answer period follows her presentation.
