VENTNOR - It wouldn't have been so cold Sunday afternoon if the wind was not blowing 25-30 miles-per-hour. The 39-degree temperature didn't stop hundreds of die hard Eagles fans from flocking to the bayfront park at Ski Beach to watch, for the first time ever, an Eagles game on the big screen.
Ski Beach located on the bay at Dorset Avenue has become a popular spot for residents and visitors to enjoy free concerts and food truck events during the spring and summer. The Eagles watch party was the first late fall event offered at the park.
Fans sat in rows of beach chairs, bungled up in hats, gloves and parkas and blankets, to watch their team play against the Indanapolis Colts. There were several portable heaters scattered across the field to offer a little warmth to the fans.
Some brought their own coolers filled with goodies, while others purchased good eats and drinks from a ring of food trucks surrounding the park.
