Stockton to release poll on inflation's impact on holiday shopping

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP With Black Friday and Cyber Monday approaching quickly, the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy at Stockton University will release a poll on Monday, Nov. 21 on how inflation and rising costs have impacted holiday shopping and travel among New Jersey residents.

The poll of 570 adults was conducted Oct. 26 through Nov. 15. Here are some of the questions respondents were asked:


  • Is your financial situation better, the same or worse than last year?

  • How much has inflation impacted your holiday spending?

  • Will you spend less, more or about the same this holiday season?

  • Has inflation affected your holiday travel plans?

  • Do you plan to do your shopping online or in person?
