Students learn about aging at 'Better Together' program

The teens from Kulanu School of Jewish Studies saw the world through aging eyes with special glasses. They tried picking up items using gloves filled with popcorn kernels.GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - Residents at Seashore Gardens Living Center welcomed new and returning students from the Kulanu School of Jewish Studies for the intergenerational program, "Better Together," Sunday, Nov. 6.

Students had a chance to catch up with their Better Together buddies.

The teens learned what it was like to be older by performing some exercises that impacted their vision, dexterity and mobility. They also enjoyed time catching up with their senior buddies.

Better Together is a program of the Board of Jewish Education of Atlantic and Cape May Counties. It connects SGLC residents with Jewish teens for programs centering around Jewish values.
