LONGPORT - The Longport Public Library will host an author talk 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24.
The featured author is James C. Mooney Jr., who wrote about his experiences as a U.S. Army helecopter pilot during two tours of duty at the height of the War in Vietnam.
The book, "Vietnam: A Tale of Two Tours," includes discriptions of combat assaults, the Combodian ground invasion, people he met and worked with, and life living in four different camps. The book also investigates his second tour in Saigon and how the war had changed.
Refreshments will be served. A book signing follows the talk.
