Margate Community Church Blessing of the Animals 2019.
The Margate Community Church will hold the Blessing of the Animals 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2 on the front lawn of the church, 8900 Ventnor Ave.
The event includes a special service for the pets of the community. Families are encouraged to bring their well behaved pets of all species. After the brief service, there will be individual blessing bestowed on the animals. A moment of silence will be held for animals involved in dog fighting, puppy mills and other inhumane and unethical treatments of animals. If you cannot bring your animal, a photo will suffice.
Refreshments will be available for pet parents and their fur or feathered babies.
