Seed justice panel to be held at Noyes Arts Garage

ATLANTIC CITY - Jeff Quattrone, founder of Library Seed Bank, will host a panel discussion on seed justice 1-2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 5 at the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University, 2200 Fairmount Ave. The discussion will be centered on conversation about seed justice.

Panelists include Ty Collins of Middleton Place and Coastal Cousins Heritage Gardens; Sonya Harris of Ujamaa Seeds and the Bullock Garden Project; and Damon Smith, founder of GlovesOnTheGround, Our Garden, and the Conflict Garden at Reed's Organic Farm in Egg Harbor Township. Greg Freelon of Coastal Cousins Heritage Gardens will flim the panel for a documentary series on community gardens, urban farms and food equity.

Following the panel discussion, poet Faleeha Hassan will be selling and signing copies of her book, War and Me. Often referred to as the Maya Angelou of Iraq, Hassan has published 25 book in various genres. She has been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for poetry and her fiction nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
