'Twelfth Night' will be performed in Ventnor, June 23-25.

VENTNOR South Jersey Players will bring one of the Bard's most humorous plays to the Ventnor Memory Park this month.

The theater group will present a 60-minute version of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night complete with music, 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 23-24, and 5 p.m. Sunday June 25.

The play, written in the early 1600s, is a rollicking romantic comedy involving a case of mistaken identity after twins are separated during a shipwreck. It is sure to please and will be performed in a perfect setting in the pocket park located on the 5000-block of Ventnor Avenue near Nashville Avenue in the North Beach section of the city.

Players include Cormac Morrissey as Duke Orsino, Jamie Weinberg as Olivia, Yamirah Williams as Viola, Ahmad Marshall as Sebastian, Parker Smith as Malvolio, Jen Smith as Feste, Joe Chialastri as Sir Toby, Judy Privitera-Parrish as Maria, Debra Share as Sir Andrew, Jim O'Hara as Captain/Officer/Priest, Joe Casella as Antonio.

Shirley Belitsky will narrate, and Reid Alburger will accompany singers on the guitar. Jayce Parrish will portray Cupid and Jack Parrish will provide the fight choreography. Jim Erickson will manage the stage with Jolie Parrish assisting. Alana Brogan will create the set design. Spellcaster Pro will provide sound.

The troupe's Artistic Director Marlene May will direct the play with Scottie Van Duyne, Chikita Wallace and Dramaturg Peggy Spencer assisting.

The evening includes a Sasscer's sweet and savory Cakes and Ale cocktail hour.
