Herb Stern Longport Scholarship recipients 2023.

LONGPORT The Herb Stern Longport Scholarship Fund June 7 presented 17 Longport students with a total of $26,500 in scholarships, the most money and students awarded since the fund started 13 years ago.

The selection committee chose the recipients based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, work record, community volunteering and need. The awards will be used toward tuition for the 2023 fall semester.

This reflects well on the people in this community who value higher education, founder Herb Stern said.
