MARGATE - Nearly 500 guests attended the 28th Annual Women's Forum to see actress, comedian and New York Times best-selling author Ali Wentworth share humorous tales about parenting, marriage and life. The event held at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City June 8 raised $125,000 to benefit Greater Atlantic City Charities, including Jewish Family Service, CASA, Boys & Girls Club and Atlantic City Day Nursery.

Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch and the opportunity to bid on more than 110 auction items including Pink concert tickets, Kate Spade and Rebecca Minkoff designer handbags, chic jewelry, hotel stays and dining offers, spa packages, restaurant and shopping gift cards, wine baskets and more.

We were delighted to have Ali Wentworth as this year's distinguished speaker at the Women's Forum. Ali made everyone feel as if they were enjoying a lunch event with their best friend by regaling stories about her personal life and career, event Co-chair Brett Matik said. The sold-out audience and auction afforded Greater Atlantic City Charities the opportunity to raise funds to support several local nonprofits.

Wentworth created, wrote and starred in the comedy series, "Nightcap," which aired on the Pop TV network for two seasons. In addition, she served as the creator, star and executive producer of the critically acclaimed Starz network series, "Head Case." Television viewers will also remember Wentworth as Jerry Seinfeld's girlfriend, Schmoopie, on the hit sitcom. In the movies, she portrayed Meryl Streep's best friend in the film, "It's Complicated." She has also co-starred in the motion pictures, "Jerry Maguire," "Office Space" and "Trial and Error."

Away from the spotlight, Wentworth has been recognized as a three-time New York Times bestselling author for "The Wasp Cookbook," "Ali in Wonderland," "Happily Ali After" and "Go Ask Ali.". In 2022, she published the book, "Ali's Well That Ends Well." She also enjoys writing movie scripts and magazine columns.
