ATLANTIC CITY - The Coalition for a Safe Community and Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, in conjunction with the city's division of Multicultural Services, will be hosting a Community Talk about the LGBTQ+ community and law enforcement Tuesday, March 28 at the Carnegie Center 35 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Check-in and refreshments will be at 5:30 p.m. with panel discussions starting at 6 p.m.
The program will discuss LGBTQ+ rights and advocacy within law enforcement. Panelists from local and state law enforcement agencies will provide information about protecting rights of LGBTQ+ people. Participants will learn about the "Safe Place" program, neighborhood initiative and how to excercise your civil rights.
