GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - Residents at Seashore Gardens Living Center welcomed students from the Kulanu School of Jewish Studies for the intergenerational program, Better Together held Sunday, Oct. 22 at the home.

Better Together is a program of the Board of Jewish Education of Atlantic & Cape May Counties. It connects SGLC residents with Jewish teens from the Kulanu School of Jewish Studies, with programs centering around Jewish values.

Students enjoyed a snack with their Better Together buddies.

In this initial session, the teens completed a training exercise that mimicked how it feels to have limited vision, dexterity, and mobility. This helped them to understand some of the challenges faced by their senior buddies. Then, the seniors and teens met and participated in an icebreaker activity which challenged them to identify Jewish celebrities through the ages. They also had a chance to visit with each other.
